The Data Science Journal is a peer-reviewed electronic journal publishing papers on the management of data and databases in Science and Technology. Details can be found in the prospectus. Creating the Information Commons for e-Science  from CODATA, The Committee on Data for Science and Technology - Latest News 
On September 1-2, 2005 an International Workshop was convened in Paris on "Creating the Information Commons for Science: Toward Institutional Policies and Guidelines for Action." The workshop was organized by CODATA with the joint sponsorship ICSU, ICSTI, INASP, UNESCO, and TWAS, and the collaboration of the OECD. More than one hundred individuals from about twenty-five nations participated, forming an assembly with a wide range of expertise and practical experience in many domains of science, information management, and related areas of the social sciences, law, and public policy. They were joined by representatives of international organizations and decision-makers in national governments with responsibilities for public science and technology policies and public research funding.

Rumble, Jr. of the National Institute of Standards and Technology ( United States ). Dr. Rumble is cited as he has been a leader and an innovator in the world of scientific and technical data for over three decades.
