As we are moving forward with XOOPS toward 2010, we need to plan for more XOOPS promotion around the world, and at the same time to create opportunities to meet with other XOOPS developers. XOOPS wins Grand Prize in OSS Challenge in Korea

It was just announced: XOOPS, represented by XOOPS China is the Grand Prize Winner of OSS Challenge 2009 (International Division) (see here...) The? Open Source Software Challenge 2009 ? was held in Korea. It is the second time that XOOPS China is being recognized in a OSS competition. Last year it won the prestigious OSSContest Award at the 2008 China Open Source Software Contest (OSSContest) in Beijing for excellence in creative application. And similarly to the previous award, this one shows again how much XOOPS China is committed to continued excellence and support for XOOPS and Open Source, and is also a tribute to the dedication of many people from around the world who have contributed to the XOOPS Project. Congratulations to the XOOPS China team and to the whole XOOPS Community around the world!!!

Instant-Zero has a new version of its content management module for Xoops, SimpleContent . SimpleContent is a paid module which will enable you to manage easily the content or your website, with several different options. The module enables you, in addition of the text of your page, to join a file to each page, to attach pictures (with thumbs creation and resizing) and to manage, with high granularity, the links to your other pages and even to add html code to your pages. With the help of"shortcodes"(some special tags), you can also integrate some specific elements in your text, where you wish. debaser 3 half baked released

I am quite proud to announce the release of debaser 3 half baked. Half baked? Inspired from an ancient discussion with me I decided to introduce a new development cycle. Half baked = Alpha Half finished = Beta Abandoned = Final Due to the half baked status there will be lot of bugs and of course this module is not for production sites. Which features made it into this release: 1) Playlist for MP3 files (public or private) 2) New file manager (experimental) 3) Flash Uploader 4) Much, much jquery 5) Re-organisation of player and filetypes 6) Lame-Support for re-encoding of MP3 files 7) Files could be played in a modal window etc.pp. Upgrader from 0.92 will be in the half finished release.
