Here at chronolabs we have updated the modules for API use, that is an application programmable interface for XOOPS. These allow you to connect your XOOPS Portal to something like an iPhone or Andriod App and share username as well as information on them. It would also allow you to do remote backup and query over HTTP Protocol in XML, Serialisation, JSON. OF course there is many reason why you would want to run it all, and you can - the function plugins on the API allow cross compatibility even with X-SOAP they are all identical for each API. XOOPS 2.5.1a Quick Fix Release

Upon community demands, the XOOPS 2.5.1a is released as a quick fix for 2.5.1 release. There are two fixes included: module name and order updates, missing"block_type"for adding custom blocks. A separate quick fix was released on April 12th , there is no new fix added to the 2.5.1a release. As stated in the quick fix, there are bugs and security weakness introduced into XOOPS 2.5.0. In XOOPS 2.5.1 all known security weaknesses have been fixed and the development team will be continuously improving it. Some experimental features and APIs were also added to 2.5 and module developers are moderately suggested to keep their modules as it is and don't implement the 2.5-only features in a hurry to avoid potential compatibility issues. Meanwhile developers can check Xoops Engine progress at http://www.xoopsengine.org to prepare for their next version of modules and themes for forward compatibility. Download XOOPS 2.5.1a from Sourceforge repository .

We have ready fmContent module version 1.03 RC3 for test and debug . fmContent is a new version of content module by ForMuss, and we have added some other options in this version . It's a simple module for building static and dynamic pages in your website . Please help us to test this version. We would like release final version in next week, after successful testing. The new version of"TDMDownloads" was released. This is a beta version, thank you for the test. List of bugs: - It was impossible to choose categories to show in the block admin (nothing is shown) (Mage). - In the modification request, if the logo doesn't exist, the default value wasn't"blank.gif" (Mage). - In the editing form of a download file, the date wasn't the current date (Mage). - Permissions by files don't run well (Mage). - In visit.php the url of download can cause a problem (Fabrice59). - Call of inexistent file in class tree.php (Mage). - the category title isn't informed in the notification message"category_newfile_notify.tpl" (Mage).
